If only running around the blogosphere had the same effect on my metabolism that actual running does. Unfortunately, bloggers seem to be keeling over by the truckload lately. Oh well, didn't Jim Fixx die jogging? You can't win.
Hope to see you over at ArtsJournal soon!

Oh thank god. All this running around the blogosphere is really getting exhausting.

Congrats on the future new digs. Word on the street is that they have a Snoopy Sno-Cone maker and a foosball table over there.

Nope, I'm not a spammer. But I'm certainly misguided.

Not sure about DC yet, Wendy, but am thinking about it. It would be great to see you there.

More questions for literary types.

1.The music to the Ave Maria is according to your taste by Schubert or an unamed French composer.
From where do the words come?
2.In 1982 the English Rock Star David Essex put which famous English Poem to music?
3. What is considered the first 'novel' in the English Language?
4.What is considered the first 'thriller' in the English Language?
5.What is considered the first 'detective story' in the English Language.

Interesting subject.....

Funnily enough I once co-authored a thesis on the topic for the OUP.

'Objectivity more than experience shapes our perception. The odd bed-fellows of language and conscience often leave a paradox.'

The title of the production is 'Sleeping Beauty', much though we hate to admit it - Our problem is with language and how it controls our lives.
Better to ask the more searching question, to the white students, of what their perception of beauty is.

Therein lies the terrible truth.........
